460mm Comfort height WC – Push Button

This 460mm height close-coupled WC pan and cistern is a robust, well-proven toilet set designed to support improved accessibility and user comfort. It has a long track record of reliable, trouble-free performance in domestic settings as well as high-use environments, including care homes, local authority installations, welfare facilities, and NHS settings.

The increased pan height offers practical assistance for wheelchair transfers and general ease of use, making it a popular choice where a standard height WC may be unsuitable. Built around the principles of Approved Document M, the pan dimensions and height align closely with Doc M guidance. However, due to the use of a push-button flush rather than a lever-operated mechanism, the WC cannot be formally described as fully Doc M compliant. For this reason, it is best described as Doc M–inspired and is particularly well suited to domestic DFG installations, supported living environments, and care settings where push-button operation is acceptable.

The WC is fitted with a raised single-flush push button, specifically selected to support users with reduced grip strength or limited dexterity. The raised profile allows flushing using the hand, arm, elbow, or similar, with minimal pressure required. This can be preferable for many users when compared to flat, dual-flush buttons that demand more precise finger control. The button is supplied in chrome.

The flush valve is WRAS approved and designed for ease of maintenance, allowing removal for cleaning or replacement without draining the cistern—although isolation of the water supply is always recommended as best practice.

Supplied with the WC is the Dignity soft-close care seat, a strong, purpose-designed seat developed specifically for the care and assisted-living sector. The seat provides excellent durability for regular use and includes discreet lateral support buffers to enhance stability during side transfer from a wheelchair. Both seat and ring-only versions are available in white or RAL 5011 blue.

With its clean, neutral design, this WC is suitable for private homes, while remaining entirely appropriate for care homes, local authority projects, NHS facilities, and Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) funded adaptations where durability, accessibility, and ease of use are key requirements.
