This 460 mm height close coupled WC pan and cistern is a robust, dependable and well-proven solution designed for accessible, healthcare and high-use environments. The increased pan height provides improved comfort and support for users with reduced mobility, assisting safer sitting and standing and supporting wheelchair transfer where required. This makes the WC particularly suitable for OT-led adaptations and DFG-funded projects, where usability, durability and compliance are essential.
To support Doc M compliance, the WC is supplied with a lever-operated siphon flush. The lever is a spatula-style handle, offering a larger surface area than standard levers, making it easier to operate for users with limited dexterity, reduced grip strength, or wrist and hand weakness.
The cistern is fitted with a WRAS-approved siphon manufactured by Thomas Dudley Ltd, widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading siphon manufacturers with over 100 years of experience. This ensures consistent flush performance, reliability and long-term serviceability, all important considerations in healthcare and local authority installations.
The set is further enhanced by the Dignity Soft Close Care Seat, which has been purpose-designed for the care and healthcare sector. Unlike adapted domestic seats, the Dignity seat has been engineered from the outset to provide strength, stability and resilience in high-traffic environments. It is suitable for lateral wheelchair transfers, with discreet lateral support buffersthat locate against the inside of the WC rim to improve stability and user confidence during transfer.
Both seat and ring-only options are available in white or RAL 5011 blue, each supplied with lateral support buffers and anti-vandal / anti-theft fixings, making them suitable for care homes, hospitals, supported living and commercial welfare settings.
Where Doc M compliance is required, a ring seat must be specified. For domestic or care environments where Doc M is not mandatory, the Dignity seat and cover provides an excellent alternative while maintaining a high level of comfort and support.

DFG Justification – 460mm Doc M WC with Spatula Lever
This 460 mm comfort-height close coupled WC has been selected to support safe and independent toileting for users with reduced mobility. The increased pan height assists sit-to-stand transfers, reducing strain on the knees and hips and supporting continued independence within the home.
The cistern is fitted with a spatula-style flush lever incorporating a raised bevelled edge, designed to reduce hand slippage and improve control for users with limited grip strength or dexterity. A high-contrast 5011 Blue lever option is available to assist users with visual impairment, supporting inclusive and accessible bathroom design in line with Doc M principles.
All flushing components are WRAS approved, confirming compliance with UK Water Regulations and suitability for use within local authority, NHS, and DFG-funded installations.
