Our Low Level Doc M Pack is based around a WC pan design that meets the dimensional and layout requirements of Approved Document M and is widely specified for commercial, care and public-access installations.
The pack is available with either a spatula lever flush handle or a raised, single-flush push button. While spatula lever operation is widely accepted as the preferred solution for Doc M applications, there remains some variation in interpretation regarding the use of push-button flushing mechanisms within fully compliant Doc M installations.
Raised, single-flush push buttons offer improved usability compared with standard dual-flush buttons and are commonly specified for domestic adaptations, care environments and DFG-funded projects, particularly where user preference or cognitive simplicity is a consideration. However, acceptance within formal Doc M compliant rooms may vary depending on the project type and the approach taken by the approving authority.
Where a raised push-button option is proposed for use within a fully compliant Doc M installation, we recommend that guidance is sought from the local Building Control Officer prior to purchase or installation, to ensure suitability for the specific application.
For customers seeking the highest level of certainty in public and commercial Doc M installations, the spatula lever option remains the most universally recognised and accepted solution.
